It Keeps Getting Better

While only ~10% of the Belgium population attends church regularly, and only 2% of those are Protestant, God still is faithful to pour out His Spirit on and through these people! I have received so much from Him through my time here so far.

I am so grateful for the words of wisdom from fellow Christians - in preaching, teaching, praying, prophesying and conversing form! - that are being imparted into my life.

This month alone I have enjoyed classes on Christology, Pneumatology, Anthropology, Angelology, and Women in Ministry and have had the opportunity to attend/help at several conferences and conventions. I am struck by the consequence of our words, the power that comes with being clothed in the Holy-Spirit and armor of God, and the importance of making disciples.

And I have had such beautiful breakthrough moments, realizing that I have had an internal war and needed to submit myself to the work of the Holy Spirit in me. I understand much more that spiritual maturity is something that needs a lot of time to grow and takes a lot of care to come to completion.

One weekend this month, our Jesus Revolution team was involved in an evangelist outreach, handing out hot chocolate and free waffles at 24h Vélo, an event centered around a 24-hour cycling race. 24h Vélo is evidently the largest student event in Belgium, gathering a crowd of over 50,000 people annually. Tons of people stopped by to snack, play games, and talk about the gospel. It was great! (and a lot).

We also had two small breaks, and I used the time to take weekend trips to visit friends, first in the Frankfurt, Germany area and then in the Biarritz, France area. Thank you, Meyer and van Loon families for hosting me!

Can I please ask you to pray with me, for guidance for our team leader Benjamin, as he plans our team outreaches for the months of February, March and April? Because I was unable to get a year-long visa for Belgium, he is looking into the option for our team to come to Canada and the United States and work alongside some ministries there. I am sure God has a perfect plan, but it would be nice to know what it is!

There’s lots of photos below, including shots of an amazing chocolate Baby Yoda, directions to the Ham Museum (you gotta love a nation that needs a Ham Museum), snapshots of team members, ministry events, the Altar of Ghent, and more.

Thank you again for investing in me and helping to make this year for Jesus a reality.
